Activities Broadcast on GPA

GPA will record CCSD activities and broadcast them on GPA-TV channel 189 on Charter, the local cable television provider.  These recordings will also be archived on the City of Gillette website on the GPA Television homepage and may be viewed via the internet at any time.

Theatre Arts Outreach Rural Arts Program

The purpose of the Rural Arts program is centered around facilitating and expanding the cultural and recreational opportunities for community members of Campbell County with specific interest in cultivating local talent of all ages through outreach workshops, residencies, producing special projects. These special projects include, but are not limited to, hosting musicals, concerts, traditional performance pieces, comedy, illusion, fine art shows and other educational events. 

Rural Arts Program

The CAM-PLEX Rural Arts Program provides entertainment and education through the performing arts to all of Campbell County, nearby communities, and neighboring states. This project was designed by CAM-PLEX to bring in all aspects of art (performing art, visual art, music, theater etc.) to Campbell County.

Campbell County 4-H Young Leaders

The Young Leaders Club will deliver high quality leadership and recreational activities in a fun and safe environment.  Youth will develop specific skills in areas such as leadership, team work, goal setting, decision making and life skills.

Campbell County 4-H Day Camp

The summer day camp program will deliver high quality recreational activities in a safe environment for youth of Campbell County.

4-H Camp

This is a youth camp held at Mallo Camp near Newcastle, WY each June.  The primary purpose of the camp is to provide         educational, social, and recreational opportunities to youth.  This camp is open to any youth currently in 4-H.

Campbell County Public Library Programs

Films at the Library:  screenings of popular children's movies on early release days, movie viewings at the Senior Center, and monthly family movie series at the Gillette library.

Monthly Book Discussion- Contact the library for days and times

Large Print Books: purchases books for visually impaired adults, outreach patrons and the Gillette community.  Also purchases books for book clubs held at multiple senior living facilities and Senior Center.  Ages 55 and up.

Campbell County Recreation Foundation

Coming in 2025 to the Rockpile Museum- Storyland: A Trip Through Childhood Favorites

When:  January 18, 2025 through May 16, 2025

What:  This exhibit provides fun, imaginative, book-based, recreational play experiences for children birth to 8 years old.  Storyland transforms seven beloved books- The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter, The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats, Where's Spot? by Eric Hill, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault, Abuela by Arthur Dorros, and Tuesday by David Wiesner into three-dimensional play and bilingual learning environments.  Click here for the brochure or here for an informational video.

Donkey Creek Music and Arts Festival

What:  The Donkey Creek Music and Arts Festival is the reincarnation of the Donkey Creek Music Festival that was formerly held at Gillette College.  This new version will feature musicians from around the state as well as local and regional art in the new Artisan Village.  There will also be food and beverage vendors available.  This is no charge for admission to this event.

Imagination Library of Campbell County

What:  The Dolly Parton Imagination Library is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to inspiring the love of reading by gifting books free of charge to children from birth to age 5.  Parents sign their child up and begin receiving one book a month in the mail.
